Meet the Chiropractor

Paula Moore was born in Toronto, Canada in 1967. Her first degree was in Mathematics, graduating in 1990. She went on to travel, teach English in south-east Asia and then work for the Sports Clubs of Canada.

Her introduction to chiropractic treatment came in her early twenties. Paula had been suffering from daily headaches for five years after a minor road traffic accident when a friend suggested she visit a chiropractor. She saw Dr Brian Sher who introduced Paula to the ‘magic’ of chiropractic as her headaches resolved rapidly after starting treatment. She was so inspired by this approach that she came to England and trained for five years at the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic, qualifying in 2001. Her enthusiasm has led to her entire family receiving regular chiropractic care.

Since completing her training in 2001 Paula has worked at several clinics around the UK. She has used this experience to found Align and create a clinic with an exceptional environment in which she loves working.

Paula has undertaken extensive post-graduate training in her two areas of special interest: CBP (Clinical Biomechanics of Posture) and paediatric chiropractic.

CBP provides a structural approach to caring for patients, emphasizing optimal posture and spinal alignment as the primary goal of chiropractic care. It uses a mathematical approach (Linear Algebra) to the analysis of patients x-rays combined with appropriate rehabilitation. CBP is developing a strong research base as evidence for the reliability of its treatment methods. You can see some ‘before and after’ x-rays of clients Paula has treated with CBP techniques on this site.

Paula loves working with babies and children and believes that children who have had the benefit of chiropractic care have a head start in life. Children who have treatment generally look forward to their visits and love being adjusted. Paula holds a post-graduate diploma in Paediatric Chiropractics from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic.

When not working or attending chiropractic courses, Paula can be found spending time with Wilson (her Kerry Blue Terrier),  reading pop-psychology, networking or creating new enterprise.
